I have a Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker for about 15-20 years my birthday. I've known for ten years are guaranteed, but are still strong. I once had to replace a gasket and I had to replace a spring in the pressure indicating device on top of the pot. But it was worth it.
My favorite part is how little energy. Even after soaking can take over an hour to cook the beans in a pot on a regular basis. The house is hot, use oven LoseElectricity, beans and end with a kind of grainy sauce. I also have to "nurse" to ensure that by adding water and does not burn.

I got a Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker for my birthday about 15-20 years ago. I know they’re guaranteed for ten years, but mine is still going strong. I had to replace a gasket once and I also had to replace a spring in the pressure indicator device on the top of the pot. But that has been well worth it.
My favorite thing about it is how little energy it uses. Even after soaking it can take more than an hour to cook beans in a regular pot. The house gets hot, the stove uses lots of electricity, and the beans end up with a kind of grainy sauce. Plus I have to “nurse” them by adding water and making sure they don’t burn.
But with this device I only use the stove for about 17 minutes. Five to get up to the right pressure and 12 to cook the beans. So it saves lots of time. And the beans are beautiful when they are finished cooling down. They’re as pretty as canned but softer (I cook mine at the high pressure for the maximum recommended in the instructions). If I WANT the grainy sauce all I have to do is mash up a few beans and add them back to the pot.
I’d heard stories of people using pressure cookers and getting beans all over the ceiling and everywhere else in the kitchen– every nook and every cranny. Many people who own a 6 cup rice cooker don’t know how to use the cooking device. Without reading a manual, it is not safe to use a cooking device because you won’t know the exact features and requirements. However, modern day cookery devices are much more user friendly and you don’t have to be any geek to cook using those devices. All you have to do is follow the measuring guide and cook to perfection. When you buy cooking device, you will be given measuring cups that you have to keep safely in order to cook perfectly.
1. Measure rice you want to cook using measuring cup provided along with 6 cup rice cooker. You don’t have to fill the device always to 6 cups if you don’t need. Just fill as much grain as you want for your meal. Wash the grains thoroughly several times in water.
2. Place the washed grains in the inner pot that came with your cooking device. Using measuring cup, again measure the corresponding amount of water. Usually, you need to use the same measurement for grain and water to cook perfectly. Then, set the inner pot to the heating base.
